Delete your account
Your school approves first · then a 30-day safety net
Eduvion AI · Eduvion Staff app and the web app
Your Eduvion account is the sign-in your school gave you. You can ask for it, and the personal data we hold to run it, to be deleted at any time, in the app, on the web, or by writing to us. This page explains how, and exactly what happens.
Option 1: in the Eduvion Staff app (Android and iPhone)
- 1Sign in to the Eduvion Staff app.
- 2Open the Profile tab and scroll to Account deletion (the red “Danger zone” section).
- 3Tap Delete Account, type CONFIRM and tap Delete my account.
- 4Your request goes to your school for approval. You stay signed in until the school approves it. Once it does, you are signed out and have 30 days to change your mind: sign in again and tap Cancel deletion (signing in also cancels the request).
Option 2: on the web
- 1Sign in at eduvionai.com/login.
- 2Open Profile (from the menu at the top right) and find the Account deletion card.
- 3Choose Delete Account, type CONFIRM and confirm. Your school reviews the request first, and the same 30-day grace period applies once it approves.
Option 3: you cannot sign in, or you no longer use the app
Write to privacy@eduvionai.com from the email address registered on your account. Please include your name, your school’s name or code, and your username. We will confirm your identity with your school if we need to, tell you when the request is received, and pass it to your school for approval. After the school approves, the deletion runs exactly as in options 1 and 2.
Questions or complaints about how a request was handled can go to our Grievance Officer at grievance@eduvionai.com (see Grievance Officer). General help: support@eduvionai.com.
What happens after you ask
Your school has to approve the request before anything is deleted. Here is the whole journey, from the first tap to the last day.
Day 0
You ask
From the app, the web, or by email. You stay signed in and nothing changes yet.
School review
Your school checks
Your school confirms it is really you and that it has no reason to keep the account open. If the school declines, nothing changes and you are told why.
Straight away
School approves: account locks
Every session ends, you are signed out on all devices and push notifications stop.
Grace period
30 days to change your mind
The account cannot be used, but signing in again cancels the request and restores it. A safety net against accidents.
After 30 days
Permanently removed
Your sign-in identity, password and device tokens are removed, and the account record is anonymised. This cannot be undone.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted: your sign-in identity and password, your sessions and trusted devices, your push-notification tokens, and the name and email on your account record.
Kept, because your school controls it: Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 your school is the data fiduciary for the records it keeps about its staff and students (for example attendance, marks, payroll and leave records). We process them only on the school’s instructions, so deleting your account does not remove them. To have them corrected or erased, ask your school’s administration; we will help the school respond.
Kept, because the law requires it: fee, payment, invoice and audit records for 8 years (tax and accounting law), security logs for 1 year, and the record of the terms you accepted for as long as the account exists plus 3 years. These are described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
A school’s only administrator cannot delete their own account from the app, so that a school is never left without one: appoint another administrator first, or contact us.
